Terms and conditions of membership

This page sets out the terms and conditions of joining The Microbusiness Collective Limited (“The Microbusiness Collective”, “The Collective”, “UKMBC”, “We” or “Us”).

These terms and conditions are subject to change from time to time. Changes will be notified via our website – www.ukmbc.co.uk – where you can find the latest version of these terms and conditions.

By joining The Microbusiness Collective you will be placed in contact with other members who may offer products, services, opinion or information which may be useful to you. If you choose to purchase any product or service, or to follow any course of action recommended by, or discussed by, a member of The Collective, this will be an arrangement solely between you or your company and the other party or decision taken solely by you. The Collective does not act as an agent to introduce services and cannot be held liable for products sold, recommended courses of action, opinions, or assistance given by one member to another on any matter whatsoever.

Membership Services

As a right of joining The Microbusiness Collective, all website services included in our basic membership plan are available to you, unless specifically excluded at the time of joining.
The Collective reserves the right to amend, withdraw or add any right of membership service, and such an amendment shall not give rise to any liability for refund of any membership fees paid or require any additional fee to be paid.

Joining The Microbusiness Collective

Upon acceptance of your application, the date of joining the Collective will be the date of submission of your application through our website, and future subscriptions will be due on this date each year.
Subscription fees are reviewed annually and the current fees are provided on our website.
By submitting an application form online, you are deemed to have signed the application form and are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you should not submit your application to join.

Joining of The Microbusiness Collective is on a personal basis. There is no facility for corporate membership. This means that you join as a person and you are responsible for any content that you submit for publication.

The Microbusiness Collective cannot be held liable for any information given to members either by other members of The Collective, employees or anyone purporting to act on behalf of The Collective. Any information provided to members is intended as initial guidance or opinion only and should not be relied upon or acted upon as substantive advice by the third party, who should seek appropriate independent professional advice according to the nature of their problem.

Leaving The Microbusiness Collective

You may cancel your membership of The Microbusiness Collective at any time by contacting info@ukmbc.co.uk.

For paid subscriptions, refunds (either in whole or in part) will only be made if a request to leave the Collective is received up to a maximum of 14 days after the due subscription has been paid.

If you choose to cancel your membership within 14 days of paying your annual subscription, the Collective will refund your subscription and deactivate your account.

If you choose to cancel your membership more than 14 days after paying your annual subscription, the Collective will not refund your subscription and your account will remain active. Your membership will not be automatically renewed and your account will be deactivated after one year.

Termination of membership by The Microbusiness Collective

The Microbusiness Collective reserves the right to refuse any application for membership or to suspend or terminate any membership for the reasons below relating to current or previous behaviours:
– inappropriate conduct in the website
– posting spam content
– repeated actions that require corrective action by moderators
– the use of hateful or abusive language relating to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or religion
– continuous use of foul or inappropriate language
– inappropriate contact with other members.

On cancellation taking effect, or on other termination, your access to website features and functionality will cease.

Communication

When you join The Collective, you provide us with your personal details, including your postal address and email address. By giving us this information and after giving explicit consent, you are agreeing that The Collective can contact you occasionally by email with information related to services, products and events.

You may, at any time, opt out of receiving communications from The Collective, or change your contact details, through your profile in the website at www.ukmbc.co.uk.

Privacy

For more information about how we protect your privacy and handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy. By accepting these terms and conditions of membership when you join The Microbusiness Collective, you are also indicating that you accept the terms of our privacy policy.
